I'm pleased to introduce our newest guest author, Ms. Michelle Morgan. As you know, IM Cincy seeks to cover all aspects of the investment management industry, and Michelle brings a unique perspective, particularly on offshore funds and technology. Michelle is the principal and founder of Titan Technology Group, Ltd. ("Titan"), a Cayman affiliate of Advanced Alternative Investment Systems, Ltd. ("AAIS") in Vancouver, BC. She is a Canadian chartered accountant who has been in the finance industry since 1992.
After articling for one of the Big 4 firms, Michelle moved to Bermuda for 10 years to gain offshore finance experience. When she returned to her home of Vancouver, BC in 2006, it was with an aim to co-found AAIS, a leading technology consulting and software development company. One of AAIS’s primary objectives was to develop the Titan Platform, an all-in-one, cloud-based portfolio accounting, general ledger, and transfer agency/income allocation platform. Michelle is responsible for the operations, strategy, and business development of AAIS and Titan.
Michelle has fund administration and fiduciary experience: she was a director of Prime Management Limited, a fund administration company in Bermuda, and senior vice president of the Harbour Trust Co, Ltd. in Cayman.
Michelle’s hobbies include playing squash, filmmaking, and writing. She co-founded the Committee of Hope for Hedge Funds Care Cayman and is on the Main Committee of 100 Women in Finance’s Cayman Location.
I'm excited to have Michelle join IM Cincy as a guest author. Like with this blog, Michelle's vantage point sits at the crossroads of technology and investment management, an intersection that I'm particularly fond of. Michelle has graciously agreed to provide a series of articles on various topics including GDPR, tokenized funds, software conversion, and AML compliance. So be on the lookout for her posts over the next few months, and join me in welcoming her to IM Cincy!
